Can Ch Klassic's Hot N Spicy,CGC,TDI , aka, Chili ( Am/Cdn Ch Klassic's Best of Both Worlds x Cdn Ch Klassic's Miss Devious ) DOB: Dec 15, 96 and Am Ch Klassic Chiya Mrs BobbyBrown, JC, CGC , aka, Whitney Jay (Am Ch Klassic's Crocra StarIsBorn x Am/Cdn Ch Klassic's Bad To The Bone ) DOB: Nov 15, 99. Am Ch Escapades Undercover Replay, JC , aka Chip (Am Ch Escapade's High Five X Am Ch Undercover Lady From Anubis, FCh ) DOB: Nov 18,99. Am Ch Chiya-Sublime Hot Congo Volcano, JC CGC , aka, Connor ( Am Ch Escapades Undercover Replay, JC x Cdn Ch Klassic's Hot N Spicy, CGC, TDI) DOB: Oct 13, 01. Connor was the Best of Opposit Sex Winner at the 2004 Basenji Club Of America National. Our currently contender Am Ch Sublime Chiya Red Storm Rising JC CGC, aka, Radar (Am Ch Escapades Undercover Replay, JC X Am Ch Jazzeta's Leather-N-Lace,JC ) DOB: Oct 03,03. Radar is currently the No.6 Basenjis in the country in VERY limited showing. Last but not least our NEW Young Hopefuls who are living with their owners, Chiya Sublime Lil' Rock N Roll , aka Clinton (Am Ch Skyhi's Power Outage "62% African" X Am Ch Jazzeta's Leather-N-Lace, JC ) DOB: Nov 23,04. Clinton is co-owned and living with Linda Carlson in Sweden. Littermate NEW CHAMPION Chiya Sublime Rocky Mt N High, aka, Denver now lives in Huntsville, AL with Sue and Jerry Morgan recently finished his championship and will be specialled next year.
I've been showing dogs since I was 12. My first show dog was a Miniature Schnauzer girl named Aki
who was given to me as a gift after I finished her sire's championship. I started involving with Basenjis
in 1995 from the purchase of Skippe aka Premier's Peanut Butter ,
at 8 weeks. My very first basenji who I bought from Rose and Aaron Thomson of Premier Basenjis in Canada.
He got me hooked to this unique barkless and cat-like breed.
Skippe was a typical basenji, very independent. I bought him as a pet, but wanted to have a show basenji and
Skippe needed a playmate. A year later, I bought Chili, a lovely red girl who I got from Sue and Mike Kite
of Klassic Basenjis in Ohio.
She is a sweetheart and was my first champion. She has her first leg in Junior Courser but wouldn't do it
again for her 2nd leg. Chili is such a sweetheart and she is very vocal. She can yodels on command.
(only when treat is involved) Basenjis are my pride and joy. Chili is now retired from
the show ring and is loved being a couch potato. She is the dam of our first home bred champion
Connor, who is also a National Specialty Winner. Then came Chip and Whitney. Chip came
to live with me at 6 months of age from Escapade Basenjis in Tennessee. He finished his
championship in only 9 shows with 4 majors. His son Connor
also finished fairly quickly at age 1 year and a week old, exact same age when Chip
finished his championship. Whitney the brindle heaten finished before age 3 and is retired from the show ring!!
Radar finished in TEN shows with 3 majors all from the Bred-by class, not to mention
14 points were from division 8. He is being specialled limitedly and is currently No.6 basenji in the country.
Radar is ALWAYS Breeder-Owner handled. Steffie also provides Professional Dog Handling Service.
Clinton lives in Sweden with Linda Carlson.
Denver lives in Huntsville, AL with Sue & Jerry Morgan. Denver just finished his championshipa and he is also
a class winner at the 2005 BCOA National Specialty. Their sister Kaiya has JUST started her show career,
and has picked up 2 pts on her first weekend out. Kaiya is a lovely mover with
a beauitful head. She lives in MD with her owners and co-owned by us.
Basenjis are absolute trouble makers! Having 7 basenjis is worse than having a 3 year old kid
in the house! THEY ARE BAD!!!! But I love them to pieces. I cannot imagine how life would be without basenjis.
Chiya Basenjis is located in Lakewood, Colorado. Tho I LOVE basenjis, doberman is my heart breed. Actually
they are equal in my heart. I love them both!
