Chip finished his American championship in 9 shows. He started his show career at 7 months by winning WD/BP/Hound Puppy Group 1st for a 5 point major. A Best of Breed win from the 6-9 puppy class over 3 specials (one was No.1 basenji in the country) for a 4 point major was next, and the next day he was Best of Winners for another 4 point. He finished his championship in grand style by winning the breed over 5 specials for his second 5 point major at age one year and a week old in 9 shows. His placement at the BCOA National from his 9-12 puppy class with 27 entries was probably the most exciting. He has 8 points towards his Canadian championship. We have moved to Lakewood, Colorado. We will have to wait till we have a chance to go back to Canada to pick up his last two Canadian points. Chip has normal CERF eyes, CERF #: BJ-1035N/2003--42. OFA Excellent BJ1225E33M-PI.
Chip's movement is VERY sound. Clean coming and going, and he covers a lot of ground. His effortless movement is breath taking! :o)

Chip's daughter, Echelon-Chiya Silent Promise, Mise is now pointed. Chip sired his second litter out of Rafikis Life In The Fast Lane, JC that produced 4 beautiful Red/White babies. Litter was born Nov 21, 02 and was bred by Heather Ervin of Echelon Basenjis in MO. Pictures of Chippy's other daughter Talon can be seen at Melar Basenjis . Talon is now known as Ch Echelon Nobel Eagle of Melar. Talon is Chippy's 3rd champion get.
Chip was bred to Ch Skyhi's Don't You Dare last fall and his stripey daughter Skyhi's That Girl "Marlo" needs 1 single to finish (A 5 pt major and a 3 pt major ). There were 5 girls in the litter. Skyhi's Forever Your Girl "Paula" now has 8 points with a major and was placed 5th in her very very tough Bred-By class at the 2005 BCOA National Specialty. Marlo was awarded 2nd in her Open Brindle class.
